Defend Earth from an alien invasion
Earth vs Mars is a strategy game developed by Relic Labs. The Martians have decided to land on Earth, and it is up to you to lead Earth’s military forces and defend your precious home planet from the alien invaders by engaging in tactical turn-based battles to drive them out.
In Earth vs Mars, you will utilize the power of Earth’s advanced scientific military technology by mixing human volunteers with local wildlife to create hybrid supersoldiers and bring death and destruction against those pesky Martians and make them regret invading your planet. It’s a wacky strategic game available on PC.
Wage war for the planet’s survival
During the events of Earth vs Mars, the Martians have finally decided to claim Earth for themselves after decades of just abducting humans and animals. Earth’s forces are in your command, and you must mobilize troops and engage in daring turn-based fights. The Splice-O-Tron is your go-to technology, and it allows you to mix humans and animals to create powerful hybrid units with unique powers.
There are over 30 missions available, and as the campaign unfolds, more creature types, hybrid units, and commander abilities can be unlocked; but as you become powerful, so do the Martians and their mutant creations. Multiplayer Mode is also available if you want to go head-on against other commanders around the world, or you can even battle A.I. on custom maps, giving a sense of replayability to the game.
Creative minds can rejoice, as there is a Map Lab that they can use to create their own handcrafted maps. In addition, the world is designed with surreal landscapes and breathtaking environments that are perfect for such skirmishes to take place on. The game also features fully voice-acted characters, bringing battles to life and immersing yourself in the war-torn environment.
A tense, yet comical strategy game
Overall, Earth vs Mars delivers what you can expect from a strategy game, with powerful units to mobilize and special abilities to use against your enemies. These seem like aspects of a serious war game, but in reality, it has quite a silly and wacky tone to it, with all the weird creatures that you can create, combined with the vibrant and somewhat cartoonish graphics.
